Your hosts, Willie and Kathleen Ryan, welcome you.

Willie hails from the town of Cahir, County Tipperary, Ireland and has lived in Wellington since 1967. Willie is a retired professional orchestral musician and was a member of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (horn section) from 1968 to 2004. Willie is very proud of his Irish heritage. He is a great conversationalist and enjoys a chat with our guests.

Kathleen is a born and bred New Zealander, of Dutch and English/Scottish background who has lived in Wellington most of her life. A school teacher by profession, Kathleen loves literature, Irish dancing and the arts.

They have five grown up children who are working in New Zealand and overseas, pursuing careers in music, Irish dancing, law, and internal audit.

Your hosts love their city and know it inside out - they're happy to advise on places of interest, and assist with bookings for day trips and tours.
